The Statute of Limitations has officially passed on two embarrassing stories from the boy's youth; John's mysterious tale of gravel up nose, and Jonny's fly in the ear saga...it's anyone's guess as to how they have actually managed to get this far in life.
John returns from a trip to New York City full of stories featuring the weird and wonderful people he met along the way...unfortunately there have been rumours swirling around in his absence. Jonny doesn't want to, would never want to, and almost doesn't...but knows he has to tell all in graphic detail. What are friends for after all?
After an extended absence John wants to start with an explanation of the thing he has been working on...it turns out Jonny has also had a few things he has been preoccupied with too.
The boys meet with Matt Smith ("Diamond Dragon Skin") the world famous traveller, blogger, and thrill-seeker dubbed "the most interesting man in the world" by someone on the internet somewhere. They were grossly misinformed.
John is nervous and often prone to bouts of social awkwardness...so a new feature on the Uber Eats app makes it all too easy to deal with human interaction even less - much to the amusement and confusion of Jonny and Steve...
John walks us through his first day as a background actor on a major upcoming Disney film, set for release in 2022. The haircut is unfortunate, and Jonny's salutes even more so...but the stories so far are the right mix of hurtful and hilarious, just how we like 'em. Cue the tears...
Steve returns from an extended holiday, spent largely lazing around doing nothing and working as a dedicated member of the National Health Service...the boys draw parallels between his life and that of the films of ironic Director/Producer Hernando Chile. Three's a crowd in this episode (ish).
After seeing so many Z list celebrities turn to charity in times of need/when attention and interest seems to be running thin...the boys decide to take the plunge themselves and get amongst the ever-burgeoning charity single market. Melodic and sincere episode...
After a bank holiday break the boys return with holiday plans for themselves and their once-loyal Producer, Steve. John is instead desperate to tell a story where some local oddball referred to him as "Big Fella" - as Jonny explains this is not to be taken as a compliment.
For a bit of a change the boys actually have an (almost) serious debate about the role of class in the UK and what it truly means these days to be "working class", something which can often be worn as a badge of honour by many in the North East of England. Check it out and let us know your hot takes, commoners!
