15. Reach for the Stars - Go After Your Wildest Dreams | by Pep Talk Radio

Listen Later

Pursuing your biggest, wildest dreams is scary but attainable if you fully commit. This episode explores why you should ignore doubts and go all in to make your crazy dreams happen.

What's up dreamers! Welcome back to another episode where we explore how to turn your biggest dreams into reality. I'm so pumped for today's topic - going after your dreams no matter how crazy or unrealistic they may seem.

So many of us have these huge, wild dreams that we wish we could achieve, but we stop ourselves because we think there's no way it could actually happen.

Well today, we'll learn why that thinking is totally wrong and limiting, and how you really can make any dream come true if you want it badly enough.

First, I think it's important to point out that every great inventor, pioneer, visionary, entrepreneur, artist, leader - basically every person who has done something extraordinary - was at one point just an ordinary person with a crazy dream.

At some point, they decided to actually pursue that dream, even when everyone else thought it was impossible.

Take Walt Disney for example. Can you imagine how many people told him that building an entire theme park and cartoon empire was completely unrealistic?

But he believed in his vision so strongly that he went after it anyway, and now Disney is one of the most recognizable brands in the world.

Or how about entrepreneurs like Sara Blakely, who invented Spanx shapewear? She was just selling fax machines door-to-door when she came up with the idea.

Even her own lawyer told her it was a horrible idea doomed to fail. Clearly that didn't stop her, because she believed in her dream so much that she put her life savings into making it happen. And now she's a billionaire with an iconic brand.

The point is, no great accomplishment ever happened because someone decided their dream was too crazy or unlikely to actually go after.

Every major breakthrough begins as just a thought, an idea - a dream. It only becomes reality when someone believes in it enough to do whatever it takes to make it real.

So if you have a huge dream in your heart - a vision for your life that gets you fired up and excited - why not go for it? Why should you let other people's opinions or doubtful mindsets hold you back? The only opinion that matters is YOURS.

If you want something badly enough, you owe it to yourself to try, no matter how difficult it might seem.

Sure, pursuing huge dreams is scary! Of course it's easier and safer to just follow the crowd, stay in your comfort zone, and settle for an ordinary life.

But do you really want to live with that kind of regret when you're old and reflecting back? I know I don't! I want to pursue my dreams now, while I'm still young enough to really go for it.

It might take years to achieve your ultimate dream - but think of how rewarding it will feel once you get there. Taking it step by step, working at it daily, overcoming obstacles - this is how you build yourself into the kind of person capable of huge accomplishments.

Your dream is like a seed that you patiently nurture and grow into something beautiful.

And here's the cool part - you don't have to do it alone. Surround yourself with people who believe in you and your dream as much as you do. Their support and encouragement can make a world of difference in keeping you motivated on the tough days.

Share your vision with people who get fired up about it! Let their excitement lift you higher.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to how badly you want it. You have to get to a point where your dream is no longer just a "wouldn't it be nice" thought. It has to become an "I'm making this happen no matter what" conviction.

When you reach that level of certainty and desire, you unlock the inner drive and determination to power through any obstacle or hardship.
