Dr. Joseph Laycock is a professor of religious studies at Texas State University and he is the author of several books on new religious movements and American religious history. His research interests include the study of religion, exorcisms, cults, and the satanic panic. His recent books include "Speak Of The Devil: How The Satanic Temple Is Changing The Way We Talk About Religion" and "The Penguin Book Of Exorcisms"
