He has extensive international work experience and has spent the past 16 years in Australia, Singapore, South America and the Middle East.

Create your alumni network by developing those you lead - many of those who worked for Alex over the past 14 years have achieved their career objectives and are now in great jobs, sometimes “passing” him into even more senior and demanding roles.

Alex’s mistakes – being over-anxious about the ethics & impact on decision on other’s lives.

Alex’s advice to emerging leaders - trust your gut on leadership decisions. Do what is right for the company & strategically. It is tough laying people off, but sometimes good - forced them to make a much-needed new start.

Top Tip: Be courageous, trust yourself & focus on developing your people. 

Be more in the backseat than always in front seat.
