189: Spotlight On: Hyaluronic Acid with Heidi Cerfontyne of Nimue Skin Technology
As beauty professionals, you are likely very well acquainted with Hyaluronic Acid, however, this incredible ingredient has gone through some changes lately.
Today we talk to Heidi Cerfontyne, education manager at Nimue, all about this superhero ingredient - beyond the typical ‘holds 1000 times it’s weight in water’ comment that most of us have told a client or two in our career!
Heidi has been in the Skincare, Health and Wellness Industry for over 29 years and has been directly involved in educating and developing educators and skincare therapists globally since 2004. Heidi’s great passion for traveling has taken her from working as a skincare therapist for 7 contracts on board luxury cruise liners to managing an Education Department at a Spa Consultancy Company in Dubai for 5 years and then finally, returning to South Africa to manage one of the Leading Spas of the World in Cape Town.
Beyond dehydration, today we explore the many forms of HA including how the weight of the ingredient helps its efficacy, HA in oil form and even the prospect of HA as an antioxidant - loads to takeaway so make sure youve got your pen and paper before pressing play on this episode!
