Careerwise Nurse guest Amanda Jacob, RN-BSN, is a financial coach who helps nurses take control of their money and mindset. Amanda will tell you about her work life balance and how she has achieved it in just 5 years working as a nurse. Also, Amanda shares how she and her husband paid off an $80,000 debt in 1.5 years.  

Amanda coaches nurses on how to achieve what they want in the future, including building up opportunities to step away from the bedside (i.e. working part-time, retiring early, etc.).

About Amanda:

Amanda began her professional career as a Registered Nurse because of a desire to help people. Early in her professional life, she and her husband were making over $100,000 and still living paycheck-to-paycheck. They knew something needed to change and found financial coaching, which resulted in a life-changing shift in their money, from that moment on. She and her husband found freedom in their lives by creating financial freedom. From this experience, Amanda realized she  wanted to help other people experience that same mental clarity around finances.

Amanda says she  couldn’t shake the feeling that financial coaching was what she was meant to do and nursing has given her  the skills to coach. She now helps other people master their money through planning, budgeting, execution, and accountability. She is on a mission to help other nurses gain control of their finances and start living the life they dream of.
