Before we get into our thoughts about episode 2 of "She-Hulk" (24:43), we have a brief discussion on some news about DC moving movie dates, and a potential director for the upcoming "Fantastic 4" film from the MCU.

With ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ now complete, we’ve compiled all of our previous reviews of the Star Wars event series into a single episode. In the series premiere, we pick up ten years after the events of Order 66 with a surprisingly emotional opening chapter (16:27). Part II takes us to a new planet, Daiyu, in an episode that largely focuses on a rescue mission of an unexpected character (42:02). In Part III, Darth Vader comes face-to-face with his former Jedi Master in a rematch that ultimately left us wanting more (51:47). In perhaps the most disappointing installment of the series, Part IV shifts the focus back to another rescue mission without progressing the story forward in a meaningful way (1:14:16). The penultimate chapter presents us with many action set pieces, but further complicates the motivations of one of the central antagonists (1:40:02). The finale manages to live up to the hype as it pertains to the matchup between Obi-Wan and Vader, but unfortunately isn’t able to elevate the series above its many storytelling flaws (2:23:55). Lastly, we conclude with our overall thoughts and reflections about the limited series’ place in the Star Wars universe (3:08:43).
Happy late Juneteenth family! We hope everyone who celebrates had a good weekend. In the music world, Drake has attempted to bless the masses with a surprise album that was announced Thursday night titled 'Honestly, Nevermind' (1:21), and it's not what we expected to say the least. Also, the latest film from Pixar has hit theaters! It's been years since Pixar has put a feature film in the theaters but it makes sense that they'd make their return with 'Lightyear' (22:01), a spin-off of the Toy Story franchise featuring the popular Buzz Lightyear. We also got a chance to attend an early screener for a new horror film that we've been anticipating for a long time now, featuring Ethan Hawke called 'The Black Phone' (47:09). And per usual, we do our weekly roundup and reviews of 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' (1:02:46) and 'The Boys'(1:46:13).

Part II of the Season 7 premiere of 2 Black Nerds has arrived. In the previous episode, we focused on all things TV and in this episode we spend time discussing and reviewing recent movies. First up, the long awaited and anticipated sequel from Tom Cruise has finally released and has broken some records in the process with 'TOP GUN: MAVERICK' (1:40). We also got the chance to check out the latest film from Alex Garland and A24, 'MEN' (33:36), a folk horror film. We were also blessed with some early screeners for Jerrod Carmichaels directorial debut with his dark comedy about suicide titled 'ON THE COUNT OF THREE' (52:57). Disney+ decided to drop some family fun for all ages with the 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit-esqe" film 'CHIP N' DALE: RESCUE RANGERS' (1:04:31). Also on Disney+, 20th Century Studios dropped a somewhat under the radar technology based animated film with 'RONS GONE WRONG' (1:14:25).

2 Black Nerds return to Twitter Spaces to share our immediate reactions to the three-episode premiere of Amazon Prime Video’s ‘THE BOYS.’ We begin by discussing the state of the series’ main antagonist, Homelander (10:09), and the absolutely shocking opening 15 minutes of the premiere episode (24:22). Also, we address Butcher’s role thus far and the connection that The Boys have to Victoria Neuman and the Federal Bureau of Superhuman Affairs (32:30). Then we address the introduction of Soldier Boy, and what his presence could mean for The Boys and The Seven as the season progresses (56:16).

We're back!!! We took a small break but 2 Black Nerds has returned, and we're ramped up for a new season of nerdom. This week we're dropping three episodes, but in this first episode we'll be focusing on some really good television that we've gotten over these past few weeks. First we discuss the first three parts of the heavily anticipated series from Star Wars and Disney Plus, with Ewan McGregor returning as 'OBI-WAN KENOBI' (1:37). We then talk about one of Netflix's most binge-worthy and most precious series in 'STRANGER THINGS' Season 4 Vol. 1 (1:15:27). Jordan then spends sometime talking about the slightly overlooked but critically acclaimed show 'BETTER CALL SAUL' (1:48:18) in part one of its sixth and final season. And last but certainly not least, we spend some time talking about the first three episodes of season 3 of the amazing and ever-present show from Amazon Prime 'THE BOYS' (2:02:16). The show is still on its shenanigans in the best way possible and of course we had to discuss some of the notable events from the episodes we've gotten so far. Stick with us for another podcast this week reviewing the movies we've seen, plus the beginning of our weekly reviews for 'MS.MARVEL' as it premieres this week as well.
