2 Guys Gaming

We start the series by talking about what got us into comic book collecting. There is also a surprise reunion at one of our favorite comic book and gaming stores!

We continue to reminisce by taking about one of our favorite decades in comics, the 1990s. Spawn, 2099, and X-Cutioner’s song, oh my! Look for a deep dive on this topic in a future episode.

We talk about what comic books mean to us as a social hobby and an escape from reality.

A visit to a local comic book show inspires us to organize and inventory our collections, which then inspires us to go to Midtown and eBay to buy more comic books. We talk about which books we’re looking for and why.

A brief memorial to 2099 leads to both of us trying to figure out where all of the nerd rage and hate comes from. Why didn’t you like the new Marvel heroes? What is wrong with rebooting the numbering every few years? We have some theories.

Another brief discussion of books that we’d like to collect. X-Men Volume 1 and Marvel Team Up are prominently featured.

A chance meeting during Free Comic Book Day leads us to consider why nerds aren’t as welcoming as they could be and a way to possibly remedy that situation. (Spoiler Alert: Just be nice!)

In the first episode, the 2 Guys Gaming discuss the state of Magic the Gathering. In the first segment, they give their thoughts about Masters 25 after the release and their overall disappointments with the set. After, they talk about the early leak of Dominaria spoilers and finish with a discussion about how much they’re enjoying the game right now.

Welcome to the 2nd episode of the new Noob and Sons!

In this episode, I talked with Liam and Aiden about one of our new favorite games, X-Wing Miniatures.  We decided that it is a good game and we all want to explore it more.

Then, Quinn joined us to discuss the Lego Star Wars video games.  They combine two of our favorite things, so of course we love them!

Finally, we talked about the two most recent Star Wars movies that we’ve seen.  We compared The Force Awakens to Rogue One.

As always, thanks for listening and we’ll see you next month for DC comics games and movies!

Noob and his (3 this time) sons return for the relaunch of their show to talk all things Pokemon.

First, on the digital playground, we talked about the latest 3DS offerings, Sun and Moon.  Aiden and Quinn haven’t gotten a chance to play it, but they give insights from the games they have played.

Secondly, we busted open a box of X/Y Generations to do a sealed tournament.  Well, it was part of a tournament because there was some grumpiness that postponed the championship indefinitely.

We’re glad to be back and can’t wait to bring you more soon!  Thanks for listening.
