A lot of the allure of collecting is getting figures that look cool, but there is always that element of being able to identify at a glance with a particular figure. For a lot of African American collectors, figures that you could immediately identify with were far and few between. In this episode Tom and Dana discuss their experiences collecting African American figures/characters and how that has (or hasn’t) changed over the years.
