  • Dad Dick Theory, The Knowles Family UFO & Micci vs Aliens

This episode takes us across the Nullarbor for one of Australia's strangest UFO mysteries — the 1988 Knowles Family UFO Encounter.

A family driving through Western Australia spots a strange light before claiming something chased their car, landed on the roof and lifted it off the highway. Police later saw the shaken family, damage to the vehicle and a mysterious black residue. UFO encounter, atmospheric phenomenon... or something else entirely? 👽

Before that, Aden discovers the Dad Dick Theory from the We Mean Well podcast and learns that apparently he's been waiting 14 years for an upgrade that may never arrive. So naturally, he calls their hotline to complain.

Plus, Micci tackles another round of riddles, rejects the Hawkesbury River Monster and declares war on UFOs, aliens and basically every unexplained creature Aden likes.

🎙️ 2 Left Socks – Australia's least qualified mystery podcast.

  • The Psychic Was Right, Maccas Reviews & Dyatlov Pass

This week on 2 Left Socks, things get weird, spiritual and—as always—slightly unhinged.

Aden shares what happened when he finally visited a psychic medium… and walked away questioning whether coincidences are actually coincidences. Then we debut our brand-new Google Reviews segment, kicking things off with some absolutely brutal Maccas reviews—including one customer who “came for lunch, not an apprenticeship.” 😂

Then Micci takes us international for one of the world's strangest unsolved mysteries: The Dyatlov Pass incident. Nine experienced hikers flee their tent into the freezing Russian wilderness, leaving behind their clothes, shoes and belongings. What scared them enough to cut their way out from the inside? Avalanche? Military experiment? UFOs? Or, much to Aden's delight… a bloody Yeti? 👀❄️

Plus job changes, terrible riddles, questionable conversations and the usual chaos.

🎧 Family by choice. Idiots by nature. This is 2 Left Socks.

P.S. If you actually listen to the podcast… the code word is YETI. 👀

  • Bowl Cuts, Micci's Navigational Blunder & Aden's 13 Page Story

A tiger shark. A severed human arm. One mystery that has never been solved.

This week on 2 Left Socks, we dive into the unbelievable 1935 Shark Arm Murder Case—the bizarre Australian mystery where a shark in Sydney's Coogee Aquarium vomited up a human arm, launching an investigation full of crime, corruption and unanswered questions. As always, Micci has plenty of theories (and even more questions) as we unravel one of Australia's strangest cases.

Along the way, we visit Kilcoy's Yowie Café, chat about psychics, laugh at a TikTok comment that reckons Aden gets his hair cut with a bowl by his mum, and finish with an unbelievable real-life story where a baby shark takes a chunk out of a Matty's finger while we're recording the episode.

Because apparently sharks just weren't done with us yet.

  • The Dancing Plague, Are Yowies Spirits? & Retail Therapy

This week on 2 Left Socks, Micci's had one of those weeks... so naturally the solution was dropping some cash. Retail therapy is alive and well.

Meanwhile, Aden dives headfirst down the Yowie rabbit hole AGAIN with a new theory that leaves Micci questioning his sanity: what if Yowies aren't flesh and blood... what if they're spiritual beings? The debate gets surprisingly heated.

Plus, we uncover one of history's strangest true events—the Dancing Plague of 1518, where hundreds of people reportedly danced for days with no explanation. Was it mass hysteria, disease... or something even stranger?

    Also in this episode:

    • 📺 Micci's spontaneous shopping spree after a rough week
    • 🦜 The incredible story of Cocky Bennett, the 119-year-old cockatoo
    • 🥊 Tim Tszyu fight plans
    • 🚗 Aden signs up as a DoorDash driver
    • 👻 Ghosts, thermal cameras, and why Micci thinks Aden has officially lost the plot
    • 😂 Plenty of classic Two Left Socks chaos and completely unnecessary conversations
    • 💃 The dancing plague of 1518

  • AI Slop, Are Battered Savs Weapons & Australia's Weirdest Bushranger

The internet had opinions... so we had a few right back.

This week we kick things off by responding to the critics, talking AI artwork, negative comments and why keyboard warriors should probably keep scrolling.

Then things get wonderfully weird as we dive into the legend of The Birdman of the Coorong—the tiny Irish bushranger who supposedly terrorised South Australia while riding an ostrich covered in stolen jewellery. Is it history? Is it folklore? We genuinely wish it was real.

Along the way we also cover:

    • Why Sadie Benz might have saved Micci's life.
    • Aden accidentally assaulting his son with a battered sav.
    • The strangest getaway vehicle Australia has ever (possibly) seen.
    • Plenty of completely unnecessary tangents.

If you enjoy Australian mysteries, bizarre history and two idiots who constantly derail their own stories, this one's for you.

  • The Boxing Crocodile & Australia's Big Win

    🥊 Episode 5 – The Boxing Crocodile & Australia's Biggest Win

This week we're back from Cairns, running on no sleep and somehow end up asking one very important question…

Why is there a giant boxing crocodile in the middle of the Northern Territory?

What starts as a roadside attraction quickly turns into the unbelievable story behind Australia's famous Boxing Kangaroo, the 1983 America's Cup victory, Bob Hawke's legendary "your boss is a bum" speech, and how one of the country's weirdest landmarks came to be.

Along the way we also cover:

    • 🚗 The 23-hour drive home from Cairns
    • 🐊 Aden's obsession with spotting crocodiles
    • 🌊 Great Barrier Reef tour
    • 🍹 Fruit Tingles, dodgy Airbnb ovens and takeaway overload
    • 🇬🇧 Roy from the UK sends Micci a message
    • 😂 Way too many conversations that somehow spiral completely off the rails
    • 🤔 Why are Australia's "Big Things" so... big?

As always, expect plenty of laughs, questionable life advice, and absolutely zero qualifications.

  • Filthy Toilets, Haunted Cars & The Beaumont Mystery

This week, the socks are well and truly off.

Aden discovers that Micci’s old car might actually be supernatural after it somehow possesses him into adopting her questionable driving habits. Micci then takes us inside a public toilet experience so horrific that every cubicle somehow gets worse — before a second toilet leaves her unexpectedly face-to-face with a complete stranger mid-hover.

There’s also a tyre shop mix-up that turns a bargain into a very expensive surprise, workplace pranks, questionable Spanish translations, Netflix arguments and the usual completely unnecessary detours.

Then things take a darker turn as Micci dives into one of Australia’s most haunting unsolved mysteries: the disappearance of the Beaumont children. Three siblings went to Glenelg Beach in 1966 and never came home. Nearly 60 years later, the questions remain — who was the mysterious man seen with them, where did the money come from, and how do three children simply vanish without a trace?

Filthy toilets. Supernatural cars. Missing children. And two idiots with absolutely no business becoming internet detectives.

Just another week at 2 Left Socks.

  • The Yowie, Parking Problems & Safety Purchases

A bet to quit smoking. A luxury Mercedes that's harder to park than drive. Australia's mysterious Yowie. What could possibly go wrong?

This episode is packed with chaotic banter as Aden and Micci debate whether the legendary Yowie is Australia's Bigfoot or just a decades-old myth. Along the way they discuss stolen trailers, expensive cars, bizarre security measures, Krispy Kreme taste tests, naming a Mercedes, and somehow end up making a live phone call mid-recording.

Mystery, comedy and absolute nonsense... just the way we like it.

  • Dreams, Mercedes and The Great Emu War

Episode two is a chaotic hour of banter covering surreal dreams that seemed to predict a footy match, the chaos of buying a new Mercedes, a violent neighborhood night with police and a helicopter, and a shout-out to a sensational young athlete at school.

Along the way the hosts dive into the hilarious and true tale of Australia’s Great Emu War, swap misadventures about cars and tech, and close with live-show stories and loose-lipped comedy.
