Childhood obesity is at an all-time high and can lead to long-term health issues. Two mothers concerned about the lack of nutrition education and access to healthy food options in schools became activists for change. Food writer, Andrea Strong, created the NYC Healthy School Food Alliance to facilitate wellness programs, edible gardens and healthier lunches in public schools.
