Rivers of Living Waters

In this conclusion of our series we will take a look at the importance of work & ministry through the example Paul laid out for us in 2 Thessalonians. There are times when people choose to go into "full-time Christian service" thinking they can get paid by their church or mission supporters to do the basics of their job requirements, and very little else. Apostle Paul spoke against this thought process when he said he worked for the bread he ate while on his mission journeys.

Labor Day is an American holiday that celebrates the men and women who work to keep the country going. The Bible calls us to glorify God in everything we do - including our everyday jobs. It can be hard to go to a job we don't care for and work for a pay we wish was much higher, but if we work for the glory of God instead of man, that makes things much more enjoyable.

Have you ever felt like you were in a pit of despair and being attacked on all sides? Did you still praise God anyway? Jelly Roll and Brandon Lake wrote and preformed a wonderful song called "Hardfought Hallelujah" that has won a grammy, but King David wrote the original "Hallelujah" in Psalm 34. When he was hiding in a cave from Saul, David was able to say "I will bless the Lord at all times..." Do you need to do that in your own life?

Did you know it's possible for a blindman to see more clearly than those who can see? That is true in the case of the blindmen in Matthew 9 who came to Jesus to be healed. They saw Jesus for who he truly was with their spiritual eyes, long before many around him who could see with their natural eyes. There are some key lessons we can learn from these blindmen, but the main one is, do you believe God can handle whatever situation you are facing right now?

There is a dangerous game being played - the game of Religion vs. Relationship. Many people are sitting in the pews of churches playing religion, thinking they're going to Heaven one day, when in reality, they have no relationship with Christ. Our pastor provides the 5 R's of Salvation so you can make sure you have a true relationship with Jesus Christ.

This is the final installment of our Maintaining Sound Doctrine Series. This week, we look at the benefits of maintaining sound doctrine in the last days. It can be hard to stand for what you believe in, when it seems like you're the only one standing. Always remember, when the Lord has shown you in His Word what you need to stand for, you have the host of Heaven on your side! Stand firm. Don't give up. Trust the Lord for the blessing that is to come!

Thanks for tuning in to the third part of our series - Maintaining Sound Doctrine. As the world we live in continues to follow the "dance to the beat of your own drum" method, it's important that we, as believers, stand firm in our convictions. God's Word never changes, and there are some things that should be non-negotiable in the lives of every believer. Are you holding fast to sound doctrine?

*This is the continuation of the message started in Part One.*
There is no doubt that we are in the last days. However, there is a sign of the times that has been neglected lately, and that is the rise of false prophets. They are everywhere, and it can be easy to be fooled if you aren't staying in the Word of God and testing what "preachers" or "prophets" are saying against what God Himself says in the Bible. Are you enduring sound doctrine?

Everyone knows we're in the last days and everyone talks about the importance of watching signs and stocking necessities, but few talk about the importance of holding to sound doctrine. The Bible warns about the great falling away from the true gospel as much as it warns about what to expect in the rest of the world. Here's your challenge - are you holding fast to sound doctrine?

America just celebrated her 250th birthday! What a milestone we have reached as a country. With the founding of our country being so Bible centric, many wonder, where is America in prophecy? or Why isn't America mentioned in the Bible more? Our pastor has four theories that he dives into in this sermon about why America isn't mentioned more.
