This week on 2 Pals & a Pod, we’re honoured to have sat down with Noor Azizah, Rohingya refugee, fierce human rights advocate, educator, and changemaker.

From fleeing brutality and statelessness as a child to co-founding the Rohingya Maìyafuìnor Collaborative Network, Noor has dedicated her life to uplifting Rohingya women and survivors, tackling gender-based violence, education barriers, and injustice at home and on the world stage.

On this episode we talk the gendered impacts of war and displacement, the importance of Rohingya women’s leadership, and what meaningful solidarity looks like in the fight for human rights.

“Nothing could honestly ever prepare you.”

The third episode of 2 Pals & a Pod with Dr Bushra Othman is out now. Dr Othman is the first Palestinian-'Australian' woman doctor to go to Gaza, and recently returned from her third medical mission there.

On this episode, Dr Othman talks about starvation as a deliberate strategy to fracture communities, the gendered impact of genocidal violence, the responsibilities of medical professionals in a time of genocide, and how she used instant coffee packets to help a 13 year old boy with his physio sessions.
