Hello Everyone! Welcome back to another episode of 2 Peas in a Podcast. This week The peas sit down to discuss "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D." Released in 2005, directed by Robert Rodriguez, this film came out at the height of the popularity of "They Spy Kids" trilogy. At the time, it was one of the greatest things a child could watch. But does it stand the test of time?

Hello Everyone! How the hell are you? We are so sorry that it has been a while since we posted. Between traveling, weddings and moving the Peas needed a break to get their lives together. But fear not! We are officially back! This week, the gals got together in person to drink (heavily) and to talk about one of the most iconic pieces of media..."Twilight" directed by Catherine Hardwicke.

A couple of things, this episode we are trying a new format. So let us know what you think! Hi Everyone! So I know this is probably not the update you wanted, but just to keep ya'll updated in the peas's life, we wanted to let you know that we are taking a quick summer break. Between lots of traveling, new jobs and apartment moving, it is becoming a very stressful time. BUT DO NOT WORRY! Come in August, we will be back!

Hi Everyone! We are so sorry for the late release on this episode. Life has gotten a little bit chaotic for the peas. This week, the peas watched and discussed the truly iconic "Crazy Rich Asians" directed by Jon Chu. Hailed as one of the best rom coms of all time, and praised for it's all Asian cast, both peas love this movie...however does it hold up? Or will the peas be too upset at Nick's handling of the situation to enjoy this movie again.

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another episode of 2 Peas in a Podcast! First we do want to send HUGE apologies to our listeners. Nat's neighbors decided to celebrate Mother's Day on a whole other level by having a live mariachi band (and honestly who can be mad at that?)

Continuing with honoring Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we wanted to watch an actual good movie. This week, the peas decide to watch and discuss "Moana" released in 2016, directed by Disney's iconic and *VERY* white Ron Clements and John Musker. This film was considered both a commercial and critical success, and while it was praised by many, critics and Pacific Islander activists we're concerned about two white men directing a film about a young Polynesian woman. Listen on to find out how the Peas feel about this movie, and the mariachi band.

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another episode of 2 Peas in a Podcast! This month is Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. So we will be celebrating Asian and Pacific Islander representation with movies that feature Asian and/or Pacific Islander actors, stories and directors. However, it is the second episode of the month, and as the second episode of the month, we present you another volume of "We watched it so you don't have to!"

This month's pick: "The Last Air Bender" released in 2010, directed by M. Night Shyamalan this movie has one of the worst cases of white washing. Based on the beloved cartoon animated series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" a series that is based on various Asian cultures and the main characters being visibly Asian or Native...the film adaptation...is mostly white. Join us as we watch (or at least try to) and discuss the importance of representation.
