EA announced this past week something that many thought would never happen, that they were bringing back a College Football game! While the project is still a couple of years away, EA did shine light on how they are navigating the NCAA to gain access to the licenses necessary to bring this to fruition. We also got a release date for the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, along with a list of the enhancements being made to the games, and Sony finally shed some light on just how well the PS5 is doing. Other topics include Kevin beating Cyber Shadow, Sean platinuming Jak and Daxter, and the truly awful Balan Wonderworld demo.

The guys have been looking forward to the release of Cyber Shadow ever since it was first announced. A retro side scrolling action game that seems to combine Ninja Gaiden, Contra Hard Corps, and Mega Man?!? LET'S GO! In reality, Cyber Shadow is one of the most difficult games in recent years and how you respond to that difficulty will determine your enjoyment level of the game. Sean has beaten it, and Kevin is nearly there, so they go through all of their conflicting thoughts around the game. Other topics include Stadia destroying their first party studios, a rumored new KOTOR game could be on the way, Konami has NOT shut down it's gaming division, and Kevin tried out the new DLC for Fenyx Rising.

Last week, Capcom held their Resident Evil Showcase giving a lot of details about Resident Evil Village, the reveal of the RE: Verse multiplayer component, a PS5-exclusive Maiden demo, and hints at another demo coming in the near future. Reports are also suggesting that we all may be waiting longer than expected for the inevitable RE4 Remake. The guys run through everything that was revealed, including their thoughts and theories on the very interesting Maiden demo. For the first time in seemingly forever the guys actually had some news to discuss, and said news was pretty big. Not only was Lucasfilm Games announced, but they also announced a new open world story-driven Star Wars game from Ubisoft, and a freaking Indiana Jones game from MachineGames! Both games are seemingly years away, so for now all we can do is speculate on what they will entail, and what systems they will actually release on. We also got some more details from Kenny Omega himself on the upcoming first AEW game, and Nintendo revealed what Bowser's Fury actually is before it is released alongside Super Mario 3D World in a few weeks. 2021 is shaping up to be quite the year for gaming, as the new generation of consoles continue to gain traction with some monster titles coming over the horizon (heh!). The Game Awards is in the books for another year and, while the show is still a little bit too long, there were some awesome reveals to talk through along with going back over our predictions for the show. Before all of that, the guys have to talk about the disastrous console launch of Cyberpunk 2077... 343 also broke their silence earlier in the week, confirming that they are targeting fall 2021 for a release window and reassuring fans that they heard the complaints related to the graphical letdown. Even Craig will be getting fixed! After being announced a year-and-a-half ago, undergoing an interesting name change, and a challenging dev cycle due to COVID-19, Immortals Fenyx Rising is finally here. The guys were lucky enough to get the game early (thank you Ubisoft!) so they could entertain you with their impressions so far on this combination of old school God of War and Breath of the Wild. Sean also beat Demon's Souls this past week, and his on his way to the Platinum; Kevin got his 56th and 57th Platinums, and the PS5 just had the best console launch in video game history!
