  • We Beat The Last Of Us Part II & Next-Gen Game Prices Are Going Up - Episode 189
Kevin and Sean's journey through The Last Of Us Part II has finally come to a close, and they give their spoiler-free thoughts on the game as a whole. (Don't worry, a full spoilercast will be coming next week) 2K became the first publisher to tip their hand at what Next-Gen game prices will be, and for the first time in 15 years it looks like AAA games will indeed be going up. Can we really be mad about an extra $10 after prices remaining stagnant for such a long time? Let's discuss!

  • More The Last Of Us Part II Thoughts & The AAA Game-Length Debate - Episode 188
Kevin is nearing the end of his journey in The Last Of Us Part II, and Sean isn't far behind, so they give their updated thoughts (SPOILER-FREE) on Ellie's tale of revenge. Former head of SIE Shawn Layden recently gave an interview where he lamented on the current state of AAA game development, and the thought that game length directly correlates to the value of said game. The past week also saw the Avengers War Table stream, as well as the Cyberpunk Night City Wire event, and we got a surprise announcement of Bloodstained Curse of the Moon 2! Oh, and Sean FINALLY watched the Sonic movie!

  • The Last Of Us Part II Review - Episode 187
After 3.5 years since it's initial reveal, and multiple delays in 2020 alone, The Last Of Us Part II is finally here. While critics seem to universally love the game, the general population doesn't seem to be as uniform in their praise. Sean and Kevin were able to remain unspoiled before the game launched, and they are here to give their spoiler-free thoughts on the game after 8 or so hours so far. This past week, Sony revealed a lot of new details on both the PS5 itself, as well as some of the biggest games that were revealed during their Future of Gaming event. Also, apparently Rocksteady is making a Suicide Squad game? Let's dive in!

  • The Future of Gaming Delivered Big Time! - Episode 186
The moment we have all been waiting for finally arrived last Thursday, PlayStation's "The Future of Gaming" event. For over an hour, Sony took everyone on a nonstop ride of next-gen games that had something for every type of gaming fan. They also, kinda, shocked everyone by actually showing the rather divisive final design of the console at the end of the presentation. What did the guys think of the games shown? The assumed launch lineup? The crazy design of the console? Everything from the presentation is covered here, and it was the most excited we have been to record in quite some time!

  • Non-E3 2020 Predictions, Hopes, and Dreams - Episode 185
E3 2020 may be canceled, but there was no way the guys would let that stop them from doing their annual prediction special! Before getting into the meat of the podcast though, they wanted to share their thoughts on George Floyd and their hope that we may finally start to see some changes in how black people are unfairly treated by police in the US. Other topics include Sean's thoughts on the Iron Man VR Demo, as well as Command & Conquer Remastered, Kevin's vacation and experience being in a hit and run (everyone is safe and unharmed), and his thoughts on Riverbond.

  • Unreal Engine 5 Looks Absolutely... Unreal - Episode 183
For the first time since the next generation of consoles were officially announced, it seems like we finally know the potential of what next gen really means. Unreal Engine 5 was shown off as part of Summer Gamefest, and it looks absolutely... well, Unreal. It also seems like we are getting very close to the PS5 reveal, and Sony continues to remain confident that the system will release later this year. Ghost of Tsushima was finally given a full and detailed demonstration in Sony's latest State of Play, but the guys aren't completely convinced that the game will live up to the hype. Finally, Nintendo revealed Paper Mario: The Origami King. Sean is fully on board, but Kevin is more excited that this seems to lay credence to the rumors from a few months ago that we are getting a few Super Mario remakes later this year.

  • Series X's "Gameplay" Reveal Stream Disappoints - Episode 182
Continuing the trend set by Sony with their PS5 deep-dive ASMR session, Xbox hyped up a third party gameplay reveal stream for last week, only to disappoint their audience with the presentation. While there were spatterings of gameplay, the stream mostly centered on CG cutscenes and "in-engine" footage, instead of giving everyone a real look at what Next Gen can deliver. Xbox's marketing arm even admitted that they "clear set some wrong expectations". Even so, the guys go through everything that was shown during the presentation. Other topics include EA and Activision's plans for the coming year, Animal Crossing's continued sales dominance, Sean Platinuming Final Fantasy 7, and Kevin's thoughts on Habroxia.

The guys run through everything contained in the update, including the additional power-ups in addition to the actual World Maker mode.
