How many times can you bring two UK legends together for a show who just happen to be father and daughter!?  That was the case when the Bo brothers spent some time with Makayla and Anthony Epps.  Two bonafide UK legends!  Makayla is fresh off her induction into the University of Kentucky Hall of Fame. Listen as Makayla talks about her career and her father Anthony talks about her accomplishment in addition to his time as a key player of the 1996 NCAA championship team. In the 2000's, there was not a band in Central Kentucky that had quite the cult following as Hooker.  Nearly non stop from 2002 until 2010, Hooker was doing gigs all over to packed houses... opening for the likes of Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton and other who's who of mainstream country music.  The boys mostly from Hodgenville literally grew up with a generation of young folks just like them having their songs sung back to them by packed houses of star struck crowds.   And now, Hooker has recently released their songs on all music platforms and are back to doing shows thanks primarily to a mutual friend -- TJ Downs.  

Like the Jake Owen song "I was Jack (you were Diane)", Hooker is now having their fans going back in time!  This episode is perfect timing as Kyle Williamson, Hurley, and Doc sat down with the Bo Brothers to talk about old times and what's in store for Hooker - which we are happy to say includes an August 1st performance in Lebanon during the Lebanon Tourism's Summer Concert Series!

Listen, all the beautiful bourbon that is produced all over Kentucky (and other places) goes into brand new oak charred barrels.  We totally get it!  But after they go into barrels, you have to store them somewhere!  When most folks think about rick houses, they think of the beautiful wood warehouses that Buzick Construction Inc has built for generations!  But, it's interesting to know that wood is not the only natural resource that is used!  Today, the Bo Brothers talked with Alex Smith and Kayla Hoeck with A & S Solutions LLC and learned about their steel warehouses!  It's absolutely fascinating!  And, we loved to learn another example of how the Bourbon industry works together not as competitors but as each other's biggest supporters!  That's exactly the relationship A & S Solutions has with Buzick Construction.  Sit back, pour you some bourbon and listen to an entertaining but education episode of 2 Shots on a Barrel Podcast!
