Berkeley, California is a rarified, eclectic, + progressive city tucked with magic + mischief at every nook, cranny + corner ✨. Kuya Elioth™ (a Cal alum who has lived in the city for almost a decade) and I discuss some of the quirky things about this place and put you onto some things you might not have known. UC Berkeley? We out this bih ✌🏾🥂. Barong boys Sean Applegate + I recount some of the memories we've made together in college--including the zany night we first met (nudity, substances, and police were involved). Our student lives were abruptly disrupted by the COVID pandemic, and we discuss how we've adapted, how we've navigated through college, + how we're reclaiming our last moments of being a senior during such a challenging time to graduate 👨🎓. Sean also discusses why he lives a very intentional lifestyle; no substances, eats healthy, and works out often.
✨ What's the most beautiful thing you've ever witnessed? Friendship ✨
We're two Frank Ocean-stan analyzing our chosen Frank Ocean songs. LD + I talk through our individual experiences from this pretty f*cking fast year that flew by, and the lessons learned along the way.
This episode is a perfect blend of music, conversation, and laughter ~
It's a High Frequency type of session [cypher] where I'm kicking it with my friend Annissa, speaking on the topic of PERCEPTION. Why is Times New Roman the standard font? Why are BIPOC practices exoticized? What's the most beautiful thing you've ever witnessed? Tune into our intimate conversation on how our lived experiences, Berkeley education, and cultural aspects have shaped how we perceive the world around us.
It's a High Frequency type of day, where I'm smoking and drinking with my friend Javi. Listen to us share a conversation on the events that have shaped our world thus far; we explore themes of immigration, our college experience with COVID-19, Mexican culture, and Filipino culture.
I'm here (and queer) to talk to you about the whole Zoom University, online learning experience--and how that is shaped by the world around me. I'm a senior at the University of California, Berkeley here to talk about anything from adjusting to the whole online thing, to grieving the things we lost before COVID-19, some hobbies I picked up, and maybe some glimmer of hope within all of this.
