Most of us struggle with apparent injustice as wicked people prosper and the righteous do not … especially if the “righteous” is us! We see that struggle in today’s scripture and find that God’s response is to change us as much as our circumstances.

God has built into our hearts a desire for His Kingdom, a desire to be ruled by one true, great, Philosopher-King. This desire for a king and a kingdom speaks to us from the pages of Scripture as well as from our own experiences and is answered in the hope we have in Christ Jesus.
