The concept of NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) has now reached its third year of existence. Money is flowing, creating an uneven playing field in college athletics. Let's be honest the playing field was uneven before NIL.

Coaches and administrators from SEC (Southeastern Conference) have marched up Capitol Hill, urging for legislative intervention. Meanwhile, the NCAA is attempting to assert its authority by emphasizing that their rules supersede state laws for member schools. Additionally, the IRS has raised concerns about the non-profit status of collectives, recognizing them as pay-for-play entities, potentially jeopardizing their tax-exempt status.
