Mario Benavente_Fayetteville City Council Member (District 3), is one of four resident running to become Fayetteville Mayor.
While many Fayetteville residents know Mario Benavente's reputation for community leadership and activism, they may not know Mario "Be" and his family are a great example of the American-dream-come-true and are a reflection of our city's ethnic diversity. Not only is Benavente a true Fayetteville native and the son of a U.S. Army Veteran, he is also a first-generation U.S. American.

Fayetteville Interim Police Chief Todd Discussed his background as a Fayetteville Police Officer. He said he was motivated to join the police force after the 911 attack on America. Todd has applied to become Fayetteville’s next Police Chief. However, his focus right now is taking care of the day-to-day operation of his department while the nationwide search for Kem Braden’s replacement continues.

So is he for sure campaigning for another team?? Mayor Mitch Colvin, a native of Fayetteville, has a passion for helping to improve the City and its citizens. He was elected in November 2017 as the City's longest serving African-American mayor and is currently serving his fourth term.

In 1976, Mr. Rajan Shamdasani started American Uniform Sales, Inc., in Fayetteville. Mr. Shamdasani also has extensive commercial and residential real estate development experience. He's been active in community organizations and served on many member of the Board of Trustees of Fayetteville State University and a member of the Fayetteville Airport Commission.
