$530 billion is how much the investment could cost if Australia cuts carbon emissions above 70% by 2035, according to a new report from a peak business lobby group.

With the Climate Change Authority modelling a new 2035 target between 65 and 75 per cent, the Business Council of Australia has laid out the numbers and what it says are the significant investment, labour and regulatory barriers.
