Title: The Mirror of Kethar

Level: Advanced (C1-C2)

#Story :

In a forgotten village hidden deep within a mist-covered forest, there stood an ancient relic—the Mirror of Kethar. Rumored to hold great power, the mirror had remained untouched for centuries. It was said that whoever gazed into its depths would be shown not just their reflection but the deepest secrets of their soul. Some claimed it was a portal to another world, while others believed it harbored the key to eternal life. But none who had encountered the mirror had ever returned unchanged.

Evelyn Forsythe, a historian with a keen interest in the supernatural, arrived in Kethar to uncover its long-lost secrets. Her curiosity had been piqued by an old, crumbling manuscript that detailed the history of the village and its mysterious artifact. When she set foot in Kethar, she found a village steeped in eerie silence, its streets empty, and its houses decaying under the weight of time.

The villagers had long abandoned the place, fleeing from a curse that was said to be linked to the mirror. Undeterred by the stories, Evelyn ventured to the village's old church, where the mirror was believed to be hidden. There, amidst the ruins of the once-proud building, she discovered the mirror in a dark corner, draped in a cloth that had gathered dust over the centuries.

As she uncovered the cloth, the room seemed to darken, and a strange chill ran down her spine. The mirror was unlike any she had seen before—its frame intricately carved with symbols she could not decipher. The glass shimmered faintly, as though alive. She couldn't resist. She leaned closer and gazed into the mirror.

To her shock, the reflection staring back at her was not her own. Instead, she saw a figure—a tall, shadowy being with piercing eyes, standing at the far side of the room. It smiled at her, and she froze, unable to look away.
