The lights are out! Theresa and Joe will have to change their night time routine. What will they do?

Lights Out! Excerpt:

Wind whistled around the house as Theresa gazed at the sunset through the window.  She felt amazed by the beauty of the changing colors. The sun was now a deep red, about to disappear until tomorrow morning.  As she watched the scattered clouds changed from white to pink and now were beginning to fade against the dark blue sky.

 

The moon grew brighter, and then all she saw was the reflection of the room behind her.  Theresa turned to say something and saw her big brother Joe resting on the couch, holding a book.  He had turned on the light so he could continue reading.  Oh well, Theresa could find another spot to look at the stars.

 

Joe hadn’t noticed his sister’s reaction.  He was captivated by his book. Joe had continued to read as he fumbled for the light.  Now completely engaged in the story, Joe barely noticed the light flicker as the wind rattled the windows.  Then it happened.

 

The lights went out!  Joe closed his book with a thump and a deep sigh feeling frustrated.
