234 | Tiny Little Folk Lore - Pt. 1: Duendes, Aluxes & Leprechauns
Welcome back to The Freaky Deaky, friends and fiends, this week we're diving into part one of what is sure to be an ongoing foray into the realm of little folk. I've spent a great deal of time combing through cultures all over the world, and was absolutely astounded by the sheer volume of lore that surrounds these beings. It seems that practically every single culture around the globe has some kind of intriguing tale about little people.
In part one we'll be taking a peek into the Duendes of the Philippines, The Aluxes of Mayan culture and Leprechauns and fairies from the Celtic side of things. Stay tuned til the end for a glimpse into which cultures we'll be looking into next week in Part 2. I can honestly see this being upwards of a 10 part series in the future. There is truly so many different names for these entities, and a lot of them bare some striking similarities. It'll be fun to unravel over time.
But for now, we're diving into Duendes, Aluxes and Leprechauns in just a moment.
