Allison DeFord is a complete gem, and also the Executive Director of the North American Forest Foundation. Today she joins Chelsea to talk about all GOOD work that the North American Forest Foundation (N.A.F.F) is doing!

N.A.F.F. started back in 1989, with a mission is to support the forest products industry through education, promotion, advocacy of science-based facts about sustainable forestry, and by revealing the truth about trees – our world’s most diverse, abundant, renewable natural resource.

Allison's mission since joining N.A.F.F has been to make the foundation visible, and relevant to educate the future of our industry. We hear about their mission to reach 1,000,000 kids by 2030 and distribute 1,000 educational "Truth about Trees" kits this year to schools.

Did you know that the forest products industry employs approximately 900,000 Americans and manufactures over $2b. in products every year accounting for about 4% of total US manufacturing GDP.

Educating the next generation plays a vital role in continuing our great industry.
