Dr. Tara Egan, co-host
Anna, teenage co-host
Tara and Anna are back for a solo episode! Today they discuss how to best enjoy the holiday season with family. Tara notes that her childhood memories are less-than-stellar, and both agree that residual emotions from prior holiday seasons can influence your mindset as you head into this year.
How do you create experiences that are positive and connected with family?
1) Letting go of unrealistic expectations
2) Giving advanced notice about holiday plans and expectations
3) Recognize that if you are buying technology for gifts, be mindful of the message you are sending to your kids
4) Be mindful of what types of "gifts" are more meaningful based on the person's love language
5) Being able to harness a sense of gratitude
