"Black Adam" is not a great movie. But that's not its shame. Its shame is that it could've been a great movie, but it feared failure in a way that made it a trite mimic of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I wish The Rock had been cast in something with better storytelling, a slower burn and better dialogue. This movie felt like it was put together to satisfy a Tik Tok algorithm.
