According to the locals of Desha County Arkansas, there was a young man who was a very bad gambler and a very heavy drinker that spit a curse on the old town courthouse. The old clock that sits atop the courthouse struck it’s final hour as the young man took his last breath, and centuries later, the clock has never run again.
