In popular culture the term Family Values originated with George W. Bush Administration and was used in the 1990s as shorthand for morally upright but really meant, no social safety net and "let's discriminate against The Gays." Fortunately, this movie has nothing to do with that so that's a point in its favor. But does it offer anything more?
