Have you ever wondered about bringing on extra help but didn’t think you could afford it?
Our dreams are often so big that it’s not long before you realize that you can’t do it all on your own. But you’re not even paying yourself and you can’t imagine hiring someone else to help. However, that doesn’t change the fact that your hours are limited and you’ve been spending more time on tasks that drain you rather than light you up.
Eventually the thought will occur: “What if I had help?” But the next question immediately follows:
“Do I even have time to train and mentor someone else?” Or maybe you wonder how you’d ever hand off the busywork and trust someone else to do it right. Or you feel like you don’t know what you’re doing so how could you teach someone else to do it for you?
If you’ve had any of those thoughts, today’s episode is for you. I’m talking with two special return guests about how to bring on an intern or two (or more down the line). They’re sharing everything they’ve learned along the way and some unanticipated benefits of working with interns even when it felt uncomfortable.
