The brand has just begun testing its robotaxis in Texas, and if successful, it could become the cheapest autonomous provider, as it isn’t reliant on LiDAR sensors. Additionally, Musk has promised that humanoid Optimus robots will eventually account for 80% of the company’s value—but it remains very unclear when they will come to market. As any long-term Tesla investor knows, Musk has a tendency to overpromise, especially when it comes to timelines.
