I believe the only solution to "misinformation" is more information. As soon as we allow someone to choose what speech is acceptable, we create a slippery slope. Who is to decide what speech is acceptable and what is not. The whole cancel culture thing has gotten way out of control. If you do not like what someone is talking about, you have the power to change the station or channel, or swipe out of the app.

I have met people that go on the offensive on what they think should be censored. I am of the opinion that if you do not like what I am saying, you should start your own podcast instead of trying to derail mine. The only speech I think should be censored is that which incites violence against a person or group of people.

The first amendment is the cornerstone of the constitution and if we allow it to be eroded to protect overly sensitive narcissistic people then the very fabric of our society is in danger. It is not important that you defend the right of people you agree with to speak their piece but very important to defend peoples right to free speech you do not agree with.
