On his way to Vietnam Tim tells God that he can’t live for Christ. His Marine buddy, Lee Gore, tries to encourage him. After ten months of combat, Tim steps on a land mine. He comes to with Gore weeping and praying for God to spare Tim. He loses both legs; no more running. After eight months in the hospital and 13 operations, he goes home, falls in love with Connie and they marry. He surrenders to preach the gospel and then becomes an evangelist. During a revival, his old buddy Gore appears and they are reunited. Tim is still an evangelist.
