2nd Take Movies episodes

  • 89 - Rush Hour 2

This is just as good as the first one. Tucker and Chan are again the best parts of these movies.

As Jake says throughout this episode there's nothing wrong with this movie. With Jackie Chan doing the fight scenes and Chris Tucker doing improv it's one of the best comedies out there.

A movie whose twist was absolutely ruined by marketing. Its way too boring for a movie about an alien that crash lands amongst the dinosaurs. Be prepared for some tangents in this one.

  • 86 - Coming To America

Jake is off this week and Derrick and Shawn stop by to talk about Coming to America. It's not a good Eddie Murphy movie but it has some funny parts in it. Also Mufasa is super horny.

This one goes off the rails in a good way. We talk about the state of Hollywood and Marvel how there's positive things ahead. We also talk about the movie as well.

  • 84 - Thor Love & Thunder

Preston was really frustrated with this movie. Christian Bale is worth a watch though.

  • 83 - Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Dr. Strange is in a movie about the Scarlet Witch looking for different versions of her kids she made in WandaVision. It's an entertaining Sam Raimi movie even with all the studio interference.

This movie will hurt your brain if you think about it too much. Still and entertaining movie even if the characters are lacking.

  • 81 - Collateral

Tom Cruise is always awesome even if he's a crazy person in real life. Michael Mann's direction is amazing and makes everything feel real.

Jake is hosting this week while Preston is on Vacation. He brings in his friend Shane and they talk about Waterworld. Apparently one of the first shots is Kevin Costner peeing in a jar.
