Welcome to Episode 32 of the Daily 3 Minute Mantra Podcast with Aaralyn Shiri! Today's mantra is Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu.

This mantra is in the Pali language, which is similar to Sanskrit, but looks to be more ancient. It is used in one of the Buddhist traditions. Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu means, "May all beings be well or happy." This is a great mantra for focusing on compassion and your heart chakra.

It can be a challenge to improvise and sing (or hum) freely and just let yourself go! It takes some practice, especially if you're afraid of using your voice. Today we are just singing whatever we feel like for 3 minutes. The harmonium will play in the background (on Db for the sacral chakra) and you can sing or hum along.

In Sanskrit, Jai means "victory" and "Ma" is mother, so it means - Victory to the Mother! I interpret this as praise of the divine feminine, which is the ultimate power. I also read an interpretation of this mantra from JaiMaa.org.

From BhaktiBreakfastClub.com - "Kali is the fierce aspect of the goddess Durga. he is black like the night, and is the Goddess of time, death, and change. Durga is the Supreme Goddess, Divine Mother. Durga's name means "the invincible."

Namo Namah means, "I bow" or salutations/honoring. I like to chant Kali and Durga mantras for strength, protection and fierceness, with the intention of light being shone wherever needed. This melody is by Girish, so check out his Kali Durge Namo Namah mantra. It is one of my favorites!

Gate means "gone" or "dead." It is part of the Buddhist Heart Sutra, which teaches the wisdom of emptiness. For me this means clearing all of the old and false stuff that I came into this life with and get back to my original perfection.
