Sometimes it can seem like we need TONS of things to be able to handle life. Really, we just need THREE things.

-We need:
1. Purpose
2. Support
3. Flexibility

-We need to believe we have purpose (or that there is purpose in each task we do).
-We need to feel supported.
-We need to be flexible.
-We can find purpose in simple tasks when we take time to look for the purpose in having the task accomplished.
-Support can come from outside of us or can come from within ourself.
-The blend of outside and inside support will vary throughout our life.
-Flexibility in how we think about a situation, the actions we take, and in our interpretation of the feelings we have about something are key to being okay in any situation.
-We want the ability to be okay in any situation so that we can grow and continue moving forward with life (not so that we can avoid negative emotions or dodge dealing with problems).
