Clark finds out Jor-El is speaking to John through the spaceship key, causing John to act out of character (kind of). Clark investigates the cave with the key, prompting Lionel to quit his suicide attempt (ok?) and to double down on his Clark Kent obsession. Dr. Virgil Swann returns to offer Clark another message, but also to strike a deal with Lionel. Oh, and Lana gets used by Clark again (HA HA).

Christopher Reeves (Superman I, II & III) returns for his final appearance as Dr. Virgil Swann.
