This season I decided to do something a little different and start incorporating some expansions on the weekly Bible verse that I send out in my newsletter on Mondays. I thought instead of just looking at that one verse, and how it relates to us now, it would be good to look at the whole chapter and dig a little deeper into what that Bible verse actually means. Almost like a mini bible study.

This week we will be expanding on the Bible verse Jeremiah 29:11.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

In this episode we talk about her difficult childhood and young adult life, navigating through having to be something different for everyone all while trying to find herself. Which eventually led her down a path that she knew wasn't her. She had a miraculous awakening which eventually led her down the journey to healing. Healing is never a straight path and I believe Laci's story will be encouraging to anyone who is experiencing the ups and downs of healing from a difficult past.

We all have this picture in our head of what Cancer looks like. But after talking with Jill Stockwell I quickly realized that every cancer journey is different and has its own ups and downs that are lived through.

Jill opened up in this episode not only about the specifics behind her rare type of cancer but the toll that treatments have taken on her physically and mentally. She talks about her own personal struggles and how, at times, she was left waiting. Waiting for test results, waiting for a treatment plan, and waiting for what’s next. It’s how she has been able to sit in those waiting periods that I found most encouraging.
