Akiva starts this weeks episode by discussing the celebrity deaths of 2016, but Alex isnt paying attention until they get to football (5:15). Then (20:10) its time to discuss the top ten TV shows of 2016, but first Akiva threatens to quit the podcast if Alex doesnt edit the episode per Akivas instructions. After arguing about the correct pronunciation of Conan and what counts as a TV show or a movie (along with other various arguments), Akiva finally gets to his top 10 list (34:40), followed by Alexs (43:10) and the listeners (55:30). After wrapping up TV (1:02:30) the guys start arguing again about the editing of todays episode again and Akiva issues a threat, then they try to predict which NFL coaches will be fired after Sundays games. Finally (1:09:50) the Pool of Pools gets mentioned in passing, leading to a re-ignition of that fight, with Alex threatening to quit the PoP, and Akiva one-upping him by kicking him out before he has a chance to quit. Akiva concludes todays episode by insisting that dictatorships are better than democracies, because he knows better than everyone else whats in their own best interests.

With the Vikings season effectively over (and the Jets season over since October), Alex and Akiva take a week off from football to rank their top 10 podcasts of 2016. (Akiva also asks listeners to send us their top 10 TV show lists of the year for next weeks episode.) After Alex and Akiva run through their own lists, Akiva provides some listener lists, and Alex makes a deeply disturbing accusation against Yankees fans. After the podcast rankings there is a brief update of the 32 Fans Pick Em Pool playoffs (57:45), followed by an even briefer run through week 16 of the NFL (1:04:30).

Akiva start off this weeks episode by raving about NFL Scorigami and wishing Alex dead (and more). Then the guys give an update about the 32 Fans Pick Em Pool playoffs and complain about fantasy websites including dead leagues in their percentages. Akiva asks listeners to leave iTunes reviews and then the guys finally get to the week 15 games (5:50). Alex remembers drafting Antonio Gates before he was Antonio Gates (evidence), which starts the first argument of this weeks episode. The guys discuss who should be the NFL MVP (21:30), at which point Akivas audio got dropped from the recording, forcing Alex to do his Akiva impersonation (which sounds kindve like the rabbi on Seinfeld) to recreate everything Akiva said for about 8 minutes. Here is Alexs tweet showing that Jordan Howard has had a better season than Zeke Elliott. Akivas audio comes back at the 31 minute mark, though you may not be able to tell since Alexs impression is so spot on. When Alex and Akiva get to the Giants/Lions game, they give a detailed response to Superfan Robbys Giants email. Here is the PFF article listing Ereck Flowers as the 3rd worst player in the NFL in week 13 (he was slightly better in week 14). Akiva drops a spicy #hottake about Tom Brady (39:15). Finally (40:15) the guys try to recap the previous days fight over the Pool of Pools, which leads to a new fight, which wakes up Alexs wife and gets him kicked out of the house.

Recorded Monday afternoon (but posted later, yet another shortcoming Alex will blame on his new baby), Akiva introduces the Pool of Pools: We are looking for people interested in joining a 12-month pool for 2017 in which the participants will make picks on something different each month (i.e. January: NFL playoffs; February: Super Bowl Props; March: March Madness; April: NBA Playoffs; etc.). Monthly winners will get small prizes but the ultimate champion will be the person who does the best over all 12 months. We also make week 14 predictions (8:25), while ranking this weeks games from worst to best. Alex and Akiva also pledge to boycott a Giants/Ravens Super Bowl if it comes to that. #imnotwatching

At the end of the episode Akiva starts talking about Alexs sons bris (which took place Tuesday morning), which somehow segues to the Penn State scandal, which quickly leads the guys to end the episode before they say something theyll really regret.
