Talking about a hot topic in this episode... ableism! As special needs parents, our internal beliefs and biases towards people with disabilities does not magically disappear when we have a child with disabilities. All of those same beliefs, stereotypes, and perspectives are still there. It’s our job as parents to dig down deep and uncover these subconscious beliefs and do the work of changing them.
