The world's woods are filled with innumerable dangers: from ravenous carnivores and rabid animals to snake bites, ticks, falling rocks, hidden cliffs or plain old getting lost and dying of thirst… the list goes on and on. But for all of the familiar ways the forest and its denizens can do us harm, it seems there are ominous unknown things that dwell in the shadows of the deep woods that are capable of doing so much worse than we ever imagined.
