Eerie, Pennsylvania: A Mercer County inmate escapes from two hospitals in consecutive days.  Is he going for the record? (8 hospitals and a veterinary clinic in 5 days, Inmate Moritmer Shelton, 1988) Alex Rabold surrendered at the Mercer County Jail last Monday after spending the previous three days as a fugitive.  "Fugitive life ain't fer me," he said, redonning the irons.  He keeps escaping and stealing cars, which you'd think would be brand new reasons each day to quit letting him out, but this is the government we're talking about here-- case in point, he can still post bond on these new charges.  If he can pony up the dough, will he still come to his court date?  Taking all bets.  Hard to say on account of he did surrender himself.
