Charles Short is a manager at IMG Models. In his role, Charles is responsible for the careers of several of IMG’s leading male talent including Alton Mason, James Turlington and Olivier Domond.

Prior to joining IMG Models in January 2020, Charles was a senior agent at the Lions Management. Charles began his career in 1996 at Metropolitan models, shaping the careers of supermodels including Heidi Klum, Eva Herzogova and Claudia Schiffer.

Charles studied at the Fashion Institute Of Technology and spends his free time enjoying the art of New York’s renowned museums. Charles was born and raised in St Louis, Missouri and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.

Fred Rowson (@fredrowson) is an award-winning writer-director whose work spans the worlds of both commercial and narrative filmmaking. His short films, Pauline, Rodney and Woodhouse have screened at numerous British and international film festivals, including Palm Springs, Hollyshorts, and the London Film Festival. Between them, they have garnered hundreds of thousands of online views, and two Vimeo Staff Picks. His 2018 short, Palo Santo, was created in collaboration with Olly Alexander, of the band Years & Years. Set in an erotic cabaret theatre on a distant planet, it counted Judi Dench, Ben Whishaw, and cult Thai actor Vithaya Pansringarm amongst its cast members. His debut feature, Phil & Iain, an alien-abduction comedy set in Crystal Palace, is currently in development with the BFI.

In the commercial and music-video world, Fred acted as creative director for giffgaff's hugely successful #choosegiffgaff advertising campaign, also directing the accompanying 60' TVC. He also directed Pride in London's widely praised 2019 film, to mark 50 years since the Stonewall Riots, and acted as creative and music video director for Hackney-based artist Bree Runway, on her acclaimed debut EP, Be Runway. His other commercial clients have included Amazon, O2, The National Lottery, Art Fund, and the BBC, among others. His music videos and commercial works have been nominated for, and won, several high-profile industry awards, including the prize for Best Fashion Film at the Berlin Ciclope Festival.

Nourished during his youth in Prague by both the bohemian landscape of central Europe and the large-scale Hollywood productions often shooting there, Emile Rafael’s passion for filmmaking and art took root early on. Those childhood encounters have now blossomed into a career as a celebrated director and artist flourishing in the creative hothouse of London. Originally studying to be a cinematographer, Emile quickly made the leap to directing by creating dynamic videos for the likes of Katy B, X Ambassadors, Jamie N Commons, and Stubborn Heart. His love of photography , documentary films and cleverly integrated VFX heavily influences his voice as a director, pushing him to seek out visual boldness and human truth in equal measure on every assignment.

Emile is a frequent collaborator with Nowness and works with I-D on an array of projects. His work has been featured in SHOTS, The Beak Street Bugle, The Reel, 1.4, and Little Black Book, among others. His video for MØ’s “Walk This Way” earned him the trophy for Danish Music Video of the Year at the 2014 Danish Music Awards. Emile was also shortlisted for the Next Director Awards with his Nowness short film profiling legendary writer Alan Moore, titled “His Heavy Heart.” In his spare time he paints and creates art objects, with a number of exhibitions in London galleries.

Stripped across 4 nights from the 26th of October, Amrita Acharia takes a leading role in this new four-part ITV drama based on Luther creator Neil Cross’ novel Burial, also for Hulu. Starring as Holly, her life begins to unravel as her husband Nathan (Russell Tovey), grapples with a terrible secret and, as a series of catastrophic decisions are triggered, a tense and compelling narrative of psychological dread, love and possible redemption comes to the fore. Amrita is best known for her leading role of ‘Dr Ruby Walker’ in ITV’s hugely popular medical drama THE GOOD KARMA HOSPITAL, with her first role in her year after graduating from drama school was as ‘Irri’, handmaiden to Daenerys Targaryen in the global phenomenon GAME OF THRONES. Following her character’s brutal murder, Amrita ‘rose again as queen of Nordic noir’, playing a defence lawyer in the Norwegian noir-thriller series ACQUITTED, (Independent). She also had considerable success in the Norwegian film I AM YOURS, which was put forward as Norway’s Oscar Submission, Norwegian-Pakistani writer-director Iram Haq's autobiographical drama about a divorcee and a single mother caught between two cultures. Variety praised her performance as ‘a naturally warm lead thesp, who gives a literally and figuratively naked performance’.

Amrita also joined the voice talents of Hugh Jackman, Zoe Saldana Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry and many others for MISSING LINK, the fifth film from animation studio Laika, which won a Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature, and has been nominated for the Oscar for Best Animated Feature this year.

Simon was raised in Devon, UK. “I have this amazing memory of my Dad taking me to see Raiders of The Lost Ark when I was 9 and just being blown away! I had no clue then I would end up behind a camera years later.” Studying Graphic Design at Torquay Fine Art School he discovered a love of B&W photography as well as daydreaming about movies and movie making. “So I borrowed lights and a Super 8 camera from the school and made my first short film with my brother as the lead and my mum as the gaffer!“

He attended the Napier Film School in Edinburgh wanting, like most, to be a director yet discovered another key role he felt instantly drawn to - cinematographer. He spent his entire grant on old Arriflex ST camera from a former BBC Cameraman and began shooting a number of music promos and shorts films with friends, learning as he went. (One short, SEX & DEATH, won a Scottish BAFTA Television Craft Award for Lighting). In 2002 he shot his first feature film THE LAST GREAT WILDERNESS for Oscar winning director, David MacKenzie.

His first real break came with feature film THE SWEENEY (2012 d. Nick Love) based on the 70’s TV show. “I remember taking my parents to see it at a Multiplex in Devon and that feeling of shear pride and knowing no matter how hard this industry can be, cinematography, and the artistry that came with it was my lifelong passion.”

For his first TV experience he shot one episode of DOCTOR WHO (2013 d. Colm McCarthy) which led to episodes of RIPPER STREET (2013 d. Kieron Hawkes) and then the entire Season 2 of the acclaimed show PEAKY BLINDERS (2014 d. Colm McCarthy) which earned him a BAFTA & RTS nomination.

In New Orleans he shot AMERICAN HERO (2015 d. Nick love) a documentary style feature film giving him an insight into the American film scene. It was while shooting the Canadian based movie I STILL SEE YOU (2017 d. Scott Speer) he was invited to LA to shoot the series THE ASSASSINATION OF GIANNI VERSACE (2018) a vast TV production for Ryan Murphy Productions and Fox Studios (that went on to be nominated for 18 Emmys). “I couldn’t believe my luck so I put my head down and worked and created as hard as I could”

Since then he has photographed the powerful transgender TV show, POSE (2018-19) in New York (based on the 1990 documentary, Paris is Burning ) and more recently the alternative vision of discrimination in HOLLYWOOD (2020) for Netflix which both changed his view on the power of entertainment and "how it can make a difference by challenging and possibly healing key social

issues."

He was invited into the BSC in 2018.

In 2014, Mickey Boardman broke the Internet. As Paper Magazine's editorial director, he is the man responsible for the infamous Jean-Paul Goude shoot — "Break The Internet Kim Kardashian." The shoot featured the reality TV star naked and glistening, slick with baby oil. The images spread like wildfire across the Internet, turned into a plethora of memes, and were commented on heavily across social-media platforms. It was, without a doubt, the most controversial cover of the year.

Boardman has also worked with other provocative artists such as Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus on covers for the magazine. The editor grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, joining Paper Magazine as an intern after studying Fashion Design at Parson's School of Design. Since 1993 he has written an advice column “Ask Mr. Mickey” for the magazine, notorious for its witty responses to reader's woeful questions. Boardman recently launched another weekly column, "Fat And All That," in which he discusses his lifelong struggle with weight and body issues and society's attitudes towards overweight people.

Boardman is an institution on the New York social and fashion scenes, with New York Magazine recognising him as one of the “Most Photographed Faces in New York.” Described by David Hershkovits to New York Magazine as “a great connector and a great people person,” he has been featured in a number of fashion books including "Smile i-D: Fashion & Style" and "Simon Doonan's Eccentric Glamour."
