Born in the Valleys of South Wales, Katie Owen moved to London in late 2018 to pursue her love of music and dreams of becoming a DJ and Presenter.
Katie can be heard on air with her weekly residency on Boogaloo Radio, where she presents alongside the likes of Alan McGee and Carl Barat.
In December 2019 Katie deputised for Jack Saunders on the Radio 1 ‘Indie Show’.
She recently started her own monthly club night called ‘What Katie Did’.
Since then she has become a favourite with notable brands DJing for Fred Perry, Dr Martens, Pretty Green, Hard Rock Cafe, Olay Skincare, L’Oreal and launching her modelling career. She was seen across the country as the face of Scotts Menswear summer campaign 2019.
Katie landed spots as the support DJ for indie band Reverend and The Makers in 2018, Jo Whileys 90s anthems in 2019 and iconic SKA band Madness in Dubai and South Africa 2020. Also travelling across Europe to DJ, she has played clubs in Sweden and Greece.
Katie has packed out tents at many legendary music festivals such as Isle Of Wight, Y Not, Neighbourhood, Tramlines to name but a few.
She conducted filmed interviews backstage at Isle Of Wight, The Great Escape and Y Not festivals in 2019 for brands Mophie and Scotts. Interviewing the likes of Stereophonics front man Kelly Jones, YungBlud, Miles Kane and more.
Katie also works with Musicians Against Homelessness and Teenage Cancer Trust.
