It uses chapter 9.11 (no. 2) from the book of beats and chapter 9 (no. 1) from the book of fills. Actually, in the beats book, chapter 1.11 and 9.11 are the exact same exercises but the hihat pattern is different. So practicing 1.11 and/or 9.11 with focus on hihat variation gives multiple directions to work on. In the fills book, chapter 9 guides the student through multiple fill systems that can be played in 8th note triplet, 16th note even, 16th note triplet and 32nd notes.
