In this classic tale , an old grandfather had a goat that he cherished deeply. Each day, he sent one of his family members—first his eldest son, then his second son, and finally his third—to take the goat out to feed. But every evening, when the grandfather asked the goat how he was treated, the cunning creature lied, claiming he had been starved. Believing the goat’s words, the grandfather expelled each son from the house. When the same happened with the grandmother, she too was sent away.
