Today’s listening practice explores purpose humility — the possibility that we may not fully know what a person, situation, delay, role, or outcome is really for.
Practice for Today
Look around slowly and say:
“I do not know what this ______ is for.”
Examples:
“I do not know what this phone is for.”
“I do not know what this work is for.”
“I do not know what this relationship is for.”
“I do not know what this delay is for.”
Do not rush to answer.
Let the old purpose loosen.
