Day 8 of 365 Miracles of Change.
Today’s reflection explores the difference between a busy mind and a present mind.
A short daily practice for noticing where attention has gone, gently returning to the present, and allowing another way of seeing.
Practice for today:Close your eyes for one minute and gently notice where your mind has gone.
Name each thought simply:
“I seem to be thinking about ______.”
Repeat this for a few thoughts.
Then end with:
“But my mind is preoccupied with past thoughts.”
Do not analyse.
Do not solve.
Do not judge.
The practice is not to empty the mind.
It is to recognize where the mind has gone.
