Welcome to the Water Quality Association Podcast. Learn more at https://wqa.org.
As we mark WQA’s 50th anniversary, we feature one of our memorable podcasts from the past several years. We go back to October of 2018 and our conversation with Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, the pediatrician who helped bring to light the lead crisis in Flint, Michigan. We talk with Dr. Mona, as she likes to be called, about how she was able to detect the elevated lead levels in the blood of children in Flint, leading her to conclude that the public drinking water was the problem. She talks about the book she wrote about her research and where she’s focusing her efforts after Flint. This was an audio-only podcast back then, so no video available.
You’re invited to connect, inspire and elevate at the 2024 Mid-Year Leadership Conference, Sept 17-19 at a convenient Midwest location near Chicago’s O’Hare airport. Don’t miss out on this collaborative, strategic conference for the water treatment industry. It won’t be the same without you. Learn more and register at https://wqa.org/mylc.
